In the world of pasta, there is one battle to end all others: do you prefer cheese-filled or meat-filled ravioli? And despite strong feelings on both sides, cheese-filled ravioli just slightly edge out meat-filled as the majority vote (51% vs 49%). Those who enjoy a cheese-filled ravioli skew female and Gen Z.

This demographic data is just a first taste of what sets cheese-filled ravioli fans apart from the rest. Here are four more facts to know:

Water Temperature: Those who prefer cheese-filled ravioli are 10 percentage points more likely to enjoy their water ‘somewhat cold’ than those who prefer meat-filled ravioli.

Seasonal Blues: More than half (53%) of those who prefer cheese-filled ravioli say they feel ‘somewhat’ more down in the wintertime, as compared to other seasons. Just 30% of meat-filled ravioli fans say the same.

Ancestry Interest: Those who prefer cheese-filled ravioli are 12 percentage points more likely to say they intend to try an ancestry-finding service than those who opt for meat-filled ravioli (26% vs 14%).

Oreo Debate: While 31% of cheese-filled ravioli fans say that Oreos are brown, just 18% of meat-filled ravioli fans say the same.

Despite the popularity of cheese-filled ravioli, consumers of the fan favorite are far from boring. They like their water temperature just right, are aware of their mood changes in the winter, and have an interest in their family tree. All of this, combined with their potentially controversial stance on Oreo colors suggests that cheese-filled ravioli fans know themselves, inside and out.
